OAPS Association Overview
The Oregon Association of Professional Process Servers (OAPS) was founded in 1980. In the fall
of 1980, OAPS held its First Annual Conference. At this conference officers were elected and
various committees were formed.
Membership in OAPS is on an individual basis allowing members to be screened adequately ensuring
that they have not been convicted of any felonies and that they adhere to the high ethical
standards on which OAPS prides itself.
Affiliate membership is open to process servers in other states who otherwise meet the same
requirements of "regular" status (voting members). Affiliate members do not have voting
privileges, but are included in the search feature of this website, as well as the published in
the OAPS Membership Directory. This database is a collection of outstanding process servers to
be used by the legal community and individuals seeking to have legal documents served. The OAPS
Membership Directory is also published once a year in the spring for distribution to OAPS members
and affiliate members.
